So your last blog said hayton was at worst the third best player on the team. And this blog says he’s at worst 4th best. It’s obvious you just make stuff up. And can’t even remember what you made up two days ago. Great blog James.

Oh my bad. Third most talented forward. Fourth most talented scorer. I see.

So it’s the coaches fault? How about the players not talented enough to pick a corner, and hit it. Bad rosters are on the GM, not the coach.

A positive though, Hossa looked tan, rested and ready when the Hawks met up with him in Prague. Getting him back on the ice checks a lot of the boxes for the Desert Dogs.

Good blog.

Serious question, how do they fix it? Top end offensive players are hard to get. Do they need to blow it up and tank? Trade OEL for a top six forward?

I don't see how coaching can make up for a lack of offensive talent.

I agree that Hayton should be in and Schmaltz needs to be played way more (they need to remake the second line and I’m hoping for Schmaltz/Dvorak/Garland).

But with that said I don’t know how you can be so down on Tocchet and the team. We looked amazing last night...AMAZING! It’s totally normal for guys to kiss shots early in the season, but we whooped one of the best teams in the league. I’m pumped!!

True, but the coach decides who plays and how much.

While I agree that it's on the GM to get players, I don't care for the coaches strategy, lineup decisions or lines. The Coyotes can't score, and the coach is playing their most talented players the least, or not at all. I am biased though, I have wanted him gone since Strome.

I can see why, but these first two games are rough considering last seasons results. In a vaccuum, last night's game was just a bad luck situation where the team did fairly well against a superior opponent. Still, one goal, two games, and he's benching Schmaltz.

I was at the game and I enjoyed meeting the other season ticket holders around me

That Schmaltz line looks terrible. Need to get Vinnie up there and bump Garland down

100% agree with the TOI. Tocchet has a ton of issues. The Coyotes were the better team for much of the game. It’s too bad they couldn’t have converted on one of their opportunities

Schmaltz is a talented player, we’ve seen it before with Strome. The coach needs to put him in positions to succeed

I realize you're making fun of James here but I'm actually interested in what this is all about. What exactly happened? You've posted this so much that you've piqued my interest...

Bill once got mad that I said Ron Hextall was a garbage GM, and he came in the comments and wrote an essay about why I was wrong. Needless to say, I didn't agree at all, but it's funny to say I was "owned" I guess. I have to give this guy credit, he has such a boring life he's got time to remember to come here every day and post it.

The thing I don't get though, is why he thinks its such a burn? I was delighted to learn that Bill reads my work, and I'm happy if he wants to criticize it, since he's a far superior hockey writer. Like, has it ever seemed even once that I give a shti about being wrong? I don't know, I feel like there's far more humorless egomaniacs this guy could waste his time on, but hey, whatever floats your pubes, playa!

Still, I will stand by the fact that Ron Hextall sucks ass, no matter what anyone says, and clearly the Flyers roster agrees with me, as it too sucks as a result of the Hextall.

History shows you have two choices with young, one dimensional players. Limited their ice time until they start caring about defense for the sake of getting more minutes, or don't limit their ice time, and let them stay one dimensional players.

History also shows your chances of winning a Cup with one dimensional forwards is extremity low, you need the guys you give the most ice time to to be well above average defensively as well.

Don't flatter yourself. Bill doesn't read your blog. He knows what you are, and so do we. It got back to him on his blog which, by the way, consistently has hundreds of posts each day that are entertaining, yet factual. Something you struggle with.

Clearly the Flyers roster is better that the 'yotes. It's not even close. Two years from now when the Flyers are on the doorstep of the SCF and the 'yotes are still trading their (bad) first round picks for players in the twilight of their career, you'll still be touting the genius of Chayka. But you just stay in your echo chamber eating your avocado toast and listening to bad music.

By the way, using the word "shti" is a violation of the code of conduct. (3. No foul language or vulgarity. This is a general audience website. 6. Respect your fellow HockeyBuzzers
No name calling. And you’re not being clever if you say “any moron knows” or “only an idiot doesn’t understand.” You’re being disrespectful. Talk more about hockey and less about each other. Although playful banter is allowed, that does not mean anything goes, if the banter breaks any part of the code of conduct, it isn’t playful and it is not acceptable. When “Player X stinks" turns into "You stink" you've crossed the line. And yes, the Moderators decide where the line is.

No racial slurs or otherwise derogatory comments based on the target's assumed race, religion, gender, country, sexual orientation, or language. This goes not only for posters and bloggers but for players, management, officials, their families, and others in the public eye. This is a hockey forum for hockey discussion, take hate speech elsewhere.

Do not threaten or intimidate others—posters or bloggers. Just don't do it. If you threaten another member, expect a long, long ban.

It is not against the rules for someone to disagree with you.
